Children and families in Cité Soleil, Haiti, now have a healthy public space that not only provides a place for kids to be kids and get exercise, but also a space for students to study at night and a center for youth to play sports in the evening, The new playground acts is a new focal point that brings the entire community together.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, tools and equipment for Louisiana flood relief were purchased and are now ready to be put to use as the volunteers for the Lafayette Home Repair Program rebuild the Lafayette together after the devastating flood in August.

Marlene lives with her husband and their 6 children in Belle-Anse, in the southern part of Haiti. After Hurricane Matthew hit the island, she lost all her fishing equipment and she couldn’t take care of her family. We offered her relief and assistance, and gave her fishing material to weave new fishing traps. Now she is on the sea again, earning a living, and keeping her family healthy.
