100 Days of War in Ukraine
Watch this moving video about how – thanks to you – we’ve been able to be on the frontlines in Ukraine, supporting children and their families in the most dire of circumstances.
In over 52 towns and communities around Ukraine, Malteser International, the Order of Malta, and its partners on the ground, continue to deliver aid and relief to those who have been affected by the conflict – hard pressed to find anyone who isn’t. Focusing on medical aid, Malteser Ukraine’s Pavlo Titko tells us that in places like “Kharkiv, hospitals are currently lacking everything…all support is urgently needed.”
Over 150 transports of medical aid have been delivered to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, totaling approximately 4,680 tons of aid. The European-based private sector has shown up as well. From pharmaceutical companies, car rental companies, logistics operations, and supermarket chains, they have all provided large, in-kind donations. From around the world, individuals too have shown their support and given what they could to support victims of one of the most cataclysmic conflicts in recent history.
Through our medical aid, mental health, logistical, and emergency shelter support along border checkpoints, or providing training and food to the many who are still in Ukraine, you have enabled us to support over 304,000 individuals to date.
Your support continues to be vital as we work to support the most vulnerable with relief goods like medical-grade supplies, medication, hygiene kits, and food in some of the hardest to reach areas like Odessa, Kharkiv, Mariupol, and Sumy.
