Boots on the ground providing aid in Colombia
Not all disasters come in the form of hurricanes and earthquakes. Political conflicts often have disastrous consequences for a country, as well as neighboring countries. Malteser International Americas is seeing this in Colombia now with the Venezuelan Crisis, but we have seen it in Haiti, too. Regardless of the source of the disaster, we remain committed in the Americas and around the world to responding to the needs of children and families who need food, shelter, water, healthcare, and so much more. That's why Malteser International Americas and Order of Malta members have their boots on-the-ground at providing food, healthcare, shelter, and other forms of aid at our projects in northern Colombia. They are making an impact in the lives of many Venezuelan refugees who have fled to Colombia because their lives were destitute in Venezuela. The mass exodus of hungry and impoverished Venezuelans to neighboring Colombia has threatened already at-risk indigenous communities in the northern part of the country. We are there to help. Please support our relief efforts today.
