Maribel Barbosa and her three children, Marlon José (13), Freddy (4), and Manuel Ángel (3 months), are our “Champions of Hygiene”. They took part in our Handwashing Contest, part of a campaign to sensitize 14 indigenous communities in the Riohacha area on the importance of hand hygiene through regular washing with soap and water. The contestants competed by decorating each Handwashing Station with recyclable materials, as well as traditional Wayuu ornaments. Congratulations to our 43 hygiene champions!
