Improving nutrition for vulnerable children
June 24, 2019
Thanks to the support of the The Global Fund for Forgotten People, Malteser International Americas can continue creating household gardens, distributing chickens and goats to hundreds of vulnerable families, and educating parents about the importance of nutrition in early life. Their generous support is teaching 900 children gardening and livestock skills, giving them the security of enough food to eat. In 2018, nearly 4,000 people experienced improved food security thanks to our home gardens, cash-for-work programs, distribution of seeds, small livestock, and tools.
