MI Americas Welcomes Board Chair & President: Camille M. Kelleher, GCMOb

MI Americas is delighted to announce that Camille M. Kelleher, GCMOb, MI Americas Board Treasurer, has been elected Board Chair and President. As of January 1, Ms. Kelleher, a longstanding member of the Order of Malta, American Association, USA, assumed this role replacing former MI Americas President and Board Chair, John McInerney III, KM, who will remain on the Board as Director.

Malteser has benefitted greatly from her astute and wise oversight, and her tireless dedication, judgment and leadership during a challenging time of transition in management. We could not have a better person at the helm at this time and are grateful to Camille for her ongoing commitment to humanitarian aid” stated McInerney.
Raised in Hingham, MA, Ms. Kelleher holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Barnard College and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
Ms. Kelleher’s career has been concentrated in global investment management, having been employed by Citibank, S.G. Warburg (London), and Brown Brothers Harriman from which she retired as Senior Vice President in international investment after twenty years. She then served as Investment Officer for the Archdiocese of New York’s Pension and Endowment funds and later as Senior Vice President at Allianz Global Investors.
Invested in the Order of Malta in 2004, Ms. Kelleher has served in many capacities within the American Association: Member, Board of Councillors, American Association (2014-2019); Vice Hospitaller/Hospitaller (2016-2018/2019); New York City Area
Co-Chair (2008- 2014); Area Membership Co-Chair (from 2015). She has also participated in numerous pilgrimages to Lourdes with the Association. Camille made her Promise of Obedience in 2016 and was promoted to the grade of Grand Cross in 2023.
Ms. Kelleher joined the Board of Directors of Malteser International Americas in 2021 where she has served as the Board Treasurer.
She is a member of both the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem (from 1997) as Lady Grand Cross and the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus (from 2010) as Dama di Commenda.
Her other civic engagements have included: Barnard College, Trustee (2014-2018);
Barnard College Board Investment Committee Advisor (from 2018);
New York Common Pantry, Member of the Board of Directors (2008-2022) and
Treasurer (2011-2014); Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums,
New York Chapter, Director (from 2014); Volunteer, Terence Cardinal Cooke
Health Care Center; and Church of St. Thomas More, New York, New York, Former Member, Parish Council.
Camille and her husband Rory live in New York City. They have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
