The beginning of June marks the start of hurricane season, and with increasing water temperatures from El Niño and subsequent global impacts, analysts are predicting a highly active 2018 hurricane season. While we have yet to have a major hurricane develop in the Western Hemisphere, June has already been particularly difficult for our brothers and sisters in Guatemala. And in indigenous communities in Colombia, June has seen an increase in the the humanitarian crisis along the Colombia - Venezuela border, which is getting worse by the day.
