In Haiti, we are helping people to thrive, not just survive. While the core of our work began with emergency relief following the 2010 earthquake that ravaged the country, our work has turned more towards capacity building and sustainable development. Our goal is to strengthen resilience of communities and help people to live healthier lives with dignity.

In addition to our traditional projects in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene; food and nutrition; and disaster risk reduction, here is a glance of some of our country-wide projects:

+Educating families and communities on proper nutrition

+Rehabilitating schools in Belle-Anse

+Building community rainwater harvesting storage tanks

+Extending of the irrigation system in Préchet

+Piloting of ECOSAN, a composting toilet, at school latrines in Port-au-Prince and Belle-Anse

+Rehabilitating and constructing two biodigesters in Cité Soleil

+Reforesting mangrove in Cite Soleil

+Cleaning-up and rehabilitating sewage channels

+Supporting to the country water organization, DINEPA

+Phasing out charcoal in Belle-Anse and introducing energy-saving stoves

+Building safe spaces in playgrounds that promote well-being

+Educating communities on vector-borne disease and breastfeeding for pregnant women in Belle-Anse
