Two hurricanes hit our shores within weeks of each other, both leaving devastation behind. Hurricane Florence flooded the Carolinas and Hurricane Michael flattened homes in Mexico City, Florida. With the help of our local Order of Malta network in the region, 20,000 pounds of food and water were secured through the Second Harvest Food Bank for the people in eastern North Carolina. In Florida, we are supporting the St. Dominic Parish distribution center in Panama City, which provides warm meals, water, cleaning items, and basic necessities to thousands of people a day.
